Example of the 2-month summary:
NOTE: E-Guides receive a similar table when they receive their initial student assignments every two months.
- Student submits request for E-Guide
- Gail evaluates student as E 4 ME Completer (or not)
- Gail sends one email request to E-Guide every two months with all student data inside table attachment
- Gail asks for E-Guide to confirm receipt and availability for all students at once
- Gail sends introductory email to student. Instructor follows-up with his/her first contact to student.
- Gail updates E-HOD
- Gail updates original Excel spreadsheet in OLN-Docs
- Gail creates compiled roster of E-advisees every 2 months and saves to OLN-Docs
- Gail sends request to E-Guides for status on their work with E-advisees for the previous 2-month period. (This should help E-Guides also keep track of their annual work with students on a periodic basis.)
Additional Resources Needed: E-Guides will be expected to advise on helping students to:
- Find financial aid
- Choose a course or degree
- Choose a college or university that is right for the student
- Successfully navigate the OLN Web site
- Introduce student to the right people at each college
- Help student understand the steps needed to get enrolled in a course or degree program
- Track student’s progress and report on whether student enrolls into a degree granting college or university to OLN
- Give an estimate (every 2 months) of the amount of time spent with E-advisees and (as a function of submitting a student status summary) how students have benefited from the time spent with the E-Guide
