Instructor's E-mail at the end of the Second Week to Those Students Who Have Not Begun the Course
Greetings Name, Welcome to E 4 ME! Your class started on Date, but you may still join in. You will need the following information to log into your E 4 ME online course: Web Address: https://vista.kent.edu Click on “Ohio Learning Network” Click “Log In” User name: XXXX Password: XXXX
Once you log in, click on the link labeled “E 4 ME_#”. When you first sign, click on “Check Browser” in the upper right corner of your screen. Please follow the directions in the box to ensure your computer is set up for you to take the course. After you have entered the course, please click on “Orientation” and review “Computer Requirements” and the listed “Orientation Videos” titles. I would recommend that you view the “Navigation” video before beginning the course. Please use the other videos as a resource, by viewing them as needed. If you need technical help, send an e-mail to Katie Smith using the “Mail” tool in your course. All mail for the course will be done within the tools in the E 4 ME course, but, just in case, please double check your personal e-mail settings to be certain any messages sent to you outside of the E 4 ME course will not be filtered by your e-mail program (for example, if you are a Hotmail user, make sure e-mail messages are not sent directly to your “junk” mail folder). If you prefer to complete the course during a different month, please send an e-mail request to e4meohio@oln.org. Good luck and I’ll see you in class! All the best, Instructor’s Name |

| Hi, I am trying one more time to reach you and invite you to log into the E 4 ME course that you enrolled in awhile back. I am your instructor for the course. In case you have forgotten, this course is an introduction to on-line learning. It is intended to familiarize you with what an on-line class would be like. Your class officially started on, Monday, DATE. However, there is still plenty of time to complete the course so I hope you will still join in. If for some reason you have decided not to take the course at the time, please reply to this e-mail and let me know. You will need the following information to log into your E 4 ME course: Web Address: https://vista.kent.edu Click on: Ohio Learning Network Click: Log In User Name: XXXX Password: XXXX
Once you log in, click on the link labeled “E 4 ME #, Month Year.” When you first log in, click on “Check Browser” in the upper right corner of your screen. After you have done this, then go to the course homepage and click on “Orientation.” Here you will find “Computer Requirements” and “Orientation Videos.” Please review both of these. They will help you get started with the course. Also review the “Navigation” video. It will help you understand how to get around in the course to find all the information that you need. If at anytime in the course you need technical assistance, just send an e-mail to Katie Smith. Use the e-mail within the course by clicking on “Mail” at the top of the page. Katie’s name will be listed under “Browse for Recipients” after you create a message. For other non-technical questions, just contact me. Except for this e-mail to get you started, all correspondence will be done within the course through either the “Mail” area or the “Discussion” area (also at the top of the page).
