- Major Confusion?: courtesy of Brandeis University - includes a sampling of occupational fields and employers of recent graduates listed by undergraduate majors. Used in E 4 ME.
- What can I do with a major in...: courtesy of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington Career Services - provides examples of the relationship between jobs and majors based on skills, abilities and values, as well as other career links.
- Dream!t/Do!t: courtesy of the Manufacturing Institute - provides self-assessment tools and career information related to manufacturing related occupations.
General Career Resources: - Career Voyages' Career Site: contains a wide scope of career information, assessments, and suggestions for students, career changers, parents and career advisors.
- America's Career InfoNet: contains current market and occupational trends, employment opportunities, demographic and economic data searchable by state; also includes career exploration and resource library links.
- Future Jobs - Canada: contains national occupational trends and outlooks, listings of fields of study with accompanying career outlook including salary expectations.
- JobBoards.com: JobBoards.com: is one of the largest local sources for online employment in Ohio and throughout the Midwest. Hundreds of Ohio companies post positions here. JobBoards.com also hosts numerous Virtual Career Events in many Ohio cities and other parts of the nation.
- Heath Professions: This is one of the most extensive web sites devoted to health professions advising resources available on the Internet.
- Life SciencesWorld(http://www.lifesciencesworld.com):is a directory of international links covering the fields of biotechnology, including the latest biotechnology news and job vacancies.
- Margaret Riley's Job Guide: alphabetical listing of career related topics.
- Occupational Outlook Handbook: comprehensive searchable career database - each description includes required training and education, current salary trends, work environment, employment trends and related occupations. Used in E 4 ME
- ONet: The Occupational Information Network (O*NET) and O*NET OnLine were developed for the US Department of Labor by the National O*NET Consortium. You can access occupational information, conduct a skills match to find occupations, or conduct a cross-walk career search.
- Princeton Review Online Career Find-O-Rama: provides resources for finding a job, resume and cover letter writing and hints for interviewing.
- Monster Campus: Comprehensive career assessment site including steps for career success.
- US Census Bureau: Includes income statistics, demographic and economic information related to career opportunities and job trends.
- Yahoo's Professional Associations: listing of professional organizations for specific careers.
- Women Employed: Their site has a "Career Coach" that will help you learn about good careers, set a career goal and make plans to reach it. Learn how to advance on the job, how to choose a school, and how to get to where you want to be.
Ohio Career Resources: - EnterpriseOhio: is a statewide alliance established to advance Ohio's economic growth by expanding the capability and utilization of Ohio's public two-year colleges and university regional campuses as economic development partners and resources to meet Ohio's workforce development needs.
- JobFairOhio.com: contains local recruiting web sites for communities across the state.
- Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services: this site features information about programs, services, facts, statistics and current news concerning ODJFS mission. It includes a link to Ohio's Market Information, Ohio Job Net Online, and Ohio Employment and Training Centers.
- Ohio Job Net Online: brings together job seekers and employers. The site permits you to: research job market information at the state, regional, and local levels (turnover rates, growth rates, best paying jobs, etc.); create a resume and conduct a job search; create a job posting and search for candidates; identify training providers; identify state-licensed child care providers; and identify other services for Ohioans.
- Ohio Workforce Connection: this site is the on-line center for information about the Workforce Investment Act.
- Virtual Health Profession Advisor: Browse this site for detailed information about the variety of health careers available and the educational programs offered in Northwest Ohio.
