Student Progress and Status (reviewing and recording) At the Home Page:
  1. Reviewing Student Progress Click Reports and Tracking located above the E 4 ME banner on the home page, select Student Tracking, a date range, and click Run Report. Note that this only tracks students that have logged in. Click Close to exit.
  2. Recording Student Status Click Grade Book located above the E 4 ME banner on the home page, click Status (column heading), select Edit Values, select each student’s Status (under “Change to”), and click Save.
  3. How do I determine student status?
    • Complete = students who submitted an Autobiography, completed all assessments and completed the Course Evaluation Survey.
    • Never Logged On = students who never signed in to the course. Run a Student Tracking report (see above) and compare it to the Grade Book roster. Those students that are in your Grade Book, but not on the Student Tracking report have never logged on.
      • Note: Vista is working to adjust the report to show all students, including those that have never logged on.
    • Opted Out = students who canceled enrollment in the course after Unit One. Although it is easier to determine the student’s Opted-Out status when they leave the course at the end of Unit One, the student’s status may also be determined by following these steps: Click Assessments, click Assessment Reports, select (pull down menu) Unit One Quiz, select Item Statistics, All Class, click Run Report. Look at the row next to the question “After having completed Unit One would you like to continue, you.” Look at the column labeled “Whole Group.” If column is 100%, no one has opted out. If it is less than 100%, at least one student has opted out. Run the Report again, but this time select User ID instead of All Class. This will break down the results by student and you can see which student(s) opted out. They will have less than 100% for their score.
    • Non Complete = students who began the course but did not finish. This is the catch all status category. If a student logged on at least once, did not complete the course, and did not opt out, their status is “Non Complete.”
  4. Recording Student Autobiographies Click Grade Book located above the E 4 ME banner on the home page, click Autobiography (column heading), select Edit Values, select each student’s Status (under “Change to”), and click Save.
